Videl Roofing Testimonial from Mark Pallin of Sanyo Canadian Machine Works

After one bad rainstorm, Mark Pallin walked into work to find eight ceiling tiles — saturated with water — collapsed onto the office desks below. Sanyo’s flat roof had been failing for years, and patch repairs had stopped buying them any time at all.

We came in and replaced the entire roof in seven days. New polyiso insulation, fresh BUR system, gravel finish. Their operations kept running but not the leaks are stopped for good.

A free report now is cheaper than a repair later.

Every emergency call on our books started as a problem someone could have caught for free. Loose flashing, a backed-up drain, or a separating seam where nobody was looking. We will walk your roof, photograph every issue, and give you a prioritized report you can use to plan your next budget cycle.

Property Managers Often Ask Us

How fast can you really get to my building?

Our 90-minute response is a guarantee for every Videl client, not a marketing line. When you call during business hours, a crew is dispatched from whichever office is closer to your property, either St. Catharines or Mississauga. You’ll get a text with the crew lead’s name and an ETA the moment they leave the yard. If we miss the window, the service call is free.

What does an emergency roof repair actually cost?

Most emergency containments fall between $X and $Y, depending on roof access, the source of the leak, and how much temporary material is needed to seal it. You will see the price before we start the permanent repair, and you decide whether to schedule it with us or take the report to budget. For a sense of what permanent repairs look like, see our flat roof repair and flat roof replacement services.

Will my insurance cover the damage?

Most commercial property insurance policies in Ontario cover water damage from a sudden roof failure, though coverage for the roof repair itself varies by policy. We provide photo documentation, a written cause-of-loss summary, and a detailed scope of work with every emergency call, all of which your adjuster will need.

Can you work around our tenants and operating hours?

Yes. Most emergency roof leak containments are completed while tenants are still in the building, with minimal noise and no disruption to ground-floor operations. For permanent repairs, we schedule around your hours, your tenant leases, and your production schedule. If you manage a property with strict operating windows, our property management roofing solutions page covers how we handle multi-tenant buildings specifically.

Why does my flat roof keep leaking after every storm?

Recurring leaks after heavy rain usually point to one of a few underlying problems: failed seams, cracked flashing around HVAC curbs or skylights, drains that are backing up, or a roof system that has reached the end of its service life. Patching the same spot twice is usually a sign that the real problem is somewhere else on the roof. Our blog post on why flat roofs fail walks through the ten most common causes we see across Ontario commercial properties.
