REUSING INSULATION FOR PROPERTY IN BURLINGTON
Replacing a Roof Without Removing the Insulation?
Think your insulation can be reused? Let’s find out!
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Reusing Good Insulation to Cut Roof Replacement Costs
When we first stepped onto this Burlington roof, it looked like a textbook full tear-off job. However, when we pulled back the membrane we found the insulation was still clean, dry, and in good standing.
Instead of paying to throw it away, we kept that “hidden asset” in place, added tapered insulation to move water to the drains, and finished with a two-ply modified bitumen system.

THE VIDEL WAY
Our Re-Roofing Process for Busy, Occupied Buildings
From the first walkthrough to the final gravel, we follow a clear, step-by-step process: honest assessment, reusing insulation where it makes sense, then rebuilding a better-draining, longer-lasting roof with minimal disruption to your building.

1. Initial Assessment
We start with a full walkthrough of the roof, looking for signs of moisture, damage, and heat loss then provide an honest assessment and quote that determines whether of not the insulation can be reused.

2. Set-Up & Selective Tear-Off
We secured the site, delivered materials, then began removing any of the failed membrane and bad spots while protecting the good insulation underneath.

3. Base & Cap Sheet Installation
We built on the existing insulation, adding tapered layers where needed, then install new base and cap sheets for a tight, durable system.

4. Graveling & Final Touches
A protective gravel layer, detailed sealing, and final inspection leave you with a clean, finished roof that drains properly and is built to last.
ZERO DISRUPTIONS & Lower Costs.
